Thursday’s theme was “The Peaceable Kingdom.”
Our leader for
this day was Kelly who has worked in the Peace Corps and travelled the world.
She taught the campers about Mauritania, a country in which she lived and
taught in Africa. The campers learned more about the culture, clothing, food
and religions of the people in Mauritania. The campers were able to try on some
of the clothing that both the men and women wear and were able to try a dish
that is typical of that country.
