Camp Muddy Cove Update-
It is with pleasure and anticipation that I send out this message on behalf of the Mission Center and a team of individuals who have begun working toward re-establishing a camping ministry in Onset, Massachusetts, specifically Camp Muddy Cove. The Mission Center has established a team of individuals who represent many areas of interest in and experience with Camping in the Community of Christ. Several members of this team have the majority of their camping experience in Camp Muddy Cove. Several members represent the interests of camping throughout the long Community of Christ tradition. Our team represents the perspectives of campers, counselors, staff, administrators, directors, and program coordinators. All of us are interested in the possibilities for ministry that camping offers. We uphold ministry as THE major focus of camp while safety is our first priority. Our team will continue to conference and gather information throughout the coming months. We have begun to discuss safety and security suggestions voiced by youth and adults alike at our September 2011 meeting in Onset. As a team, we are interested in continuing these discussions with the Board of Trustees to consider how we might assist one another in pursuing the future of Camp Muddy Cove in Onset. We are also looking at off-site facilities for future years, should we not be able to accommodate a camp in Onset that meets Risk Management standards.
As a team, we appreciate your prayers as we uphold in prayer the future of Camp Muddy Cove.
Grace and Peace, Tricia Team Members: Steven King, Kendra King, Marsha Barrs, Neal Young, Kierie Smith, Bill Gardner, Tricia Carver

Camp Muddy Cove
Camp Muddy Cove has been cancelled for the summer of 2011. The New England Mission Center leadership has made a decision to make camp safer this year. For more information about this decision, you are invited to call, e-mail, or Facebook message Tricia.
We want to invite Camp Muddy Cove campers to enjoy their summer camping experience this year in Maine at Camp Winniaugwamauk. Please spend some time on this web-page checking out Camp Winniaugwamauk-- pictures, testimonies, and other information-- and contact others who have attended.
We welcome all campers, understanding that coming to a new camp can be a bit nerving and sometimes scary but also very exciting. We hope you will take the chance of coming to camp in Maine. To that end, we will be arranging transportation to help in the long drive to the Maine coast. Road trips are always a wonderful adventure!
More details regarding transportation will be forth-coming. Please join us at Camp Winniaugwamauk- Welcome is what we do.
