"We Share"
"You are all sons of God through faith in Jesus Christ, for all of you who were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ. There is neither Jew nor Greek, slave nor free, male nor female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus. If you belong to Christ, then you are Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise." ~Galatians 3:26-29

This is Trish-- who absolutely loved every minute of this retreat. Here's what Trish has to say...
"In the weeks leading up to this camping retreat, I had a profound sense of the Holy Spirit guiding and leading us into the weekend. It was strong and uplifting. As the weekend came, I was not surprised by the Spirit that was with us and with the great Friendships that were formed and strengthened. I suppose I was also not surprised that we had 5 first time retreaters... yet getting to know them was, for all of us, a GREAT addition to our weekend. We're so thankful to their parents for withstanding the LONG, traffic-filled trip up 495 so we could have such a meaningful weekend.
We came together under the theme "We Share" based on Galatians 3:26-29 and participated in some really rich spiritual formation activity/discussion. We also worshiped through campfire, prayer, fellowship, and church. These were awesome experiences to share together. I hope these times together, in addition to all the fun activities, are sticking in peoples minds and hearts. I still have my list of 5 ways I can feel closest to God and work on building up my spiritual strength. It is in the book I'm reading. Where is your list?
Throughout the weekend, we did so much. Eating, singing, snow-tubing, Chinese fire drills, dancing, scavenger-hunting (the kids had a list of "things" they had to, as a team, take pictures of or with!, swimming, playing, sleeping a little, and so much more.
Thanks to all who helped make this weekend amazing. I'm looking so forward to seeing you all for parts of our Camp Promotion Tour and especially at Camp Winniaugwamauk or Camp Muddy Cove."
Love to all! Peace and Hope! ~Trish

This is Ben... in the middle. Here's what Ben had to say about our Photo Scavenger Hunt.
"A Scavenger Hunt. I don't know if I can speak for everyone else, but I wasn't extremely psyched when I saw a scavenger hunt on the list of things we'd do this weekend. Fortunately, my doubts were completely blown away by the end of it. I and three others, Nick, Lucas, and Dan, went into Freeport with the sole purpose of sprinting across town looking for the required photo ops. We drove in our amazing counselor/chauffer, Heather's, car for all of 15 seconds before we saw our first photo op, and by the time the minute-into-the-scavenger-hunt mark passed, I was having the time of my life. My group and I sprinted across town with the purpose and will-power of marines and the pure bliss and thrill of toddlers in a toy store. By the end of it, we had walked up to people and posed for amusing images. We'd been driven out of stores for priceless pics and gotten some even more priceless memories. Our group was so caught up in it all that we were almost disappointed that we had beaten everyone by almost an hour. Almost.
Needless to say, that was one of the highlights of the weekend. I had some great moments with an old friend and also have two new friends. I can't complain." ~Ben

This is Devon-- in one photo attempting to complete our Photo Scavenger Hunt. Here's what Devon had to say about Snow Tubin' at SeaCoast Fun Park.
By the way, Devon did a Spectacular re-cap of our weekend for our Sunday worship hour. Thanks, Devon!
"The snow tubing was soooo much fun. The little elevator took forever to get up, but the kids got BIG air when they hit a jump on the hill. Some of us let go of people when we were going down the mountain!"
I, Trish, have a feeling there was an inside joke going on up in that write-up... on these retreats, there are lots of priceless memories that you "just have to be there" to understand.
